Join me to explore places of interest on the UK coastline starting with Gower Peninsula photography workshop. I studied photography in South Wales and spent much of my time photographing on the Gower Peninsula as well as on my surfboard! The South Wales coast is a stunning area for coastal photography and is filled with beautiful beaches. On this break, you can choose to stay with us, or locally and we will make a group decision on meals as well. Meals are not included, apart from breakfast if you stay at the hotel. You may choose to eat with other retreat members or not - it’s flexible.

The Beaches of the Gower Peninsula Landscape Photography Workshop

The Gower was named an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty in 1956 and it hasn't changed much since. Sandy beaches, bays, coves, dramatic cliffs and of course great waves, particularly in the winter months.

Each day on our explore Gower Peninsula photography workshop, we will head off for a different destination, allowing you time to immerse yourself in the stunning environment. You will be taught by Margaret, who is a gentle and inspiring photography tutor.

Locations will include some of the following:

Llangennith Beach - wide stretches of sand and dunes and the best waves in South Wales

Three Cliffs Bay - sand dunes, salt marshes and limestone cliffs

Rhossili - one the UK’s top 10 beaches

Loughor Estuary and its nature reserves

I will be staying at Parc Le Breos House on the Gower Peninsula. It’s up to you to arrange your own accommodation either at Parc Le Breos or elsewhere locally.  Parc- le- Breos have held a certain amount of rooms for us so please book your accommodation early to ensure room availability. Parc-Le-Breos is a beautifully appointed Country House set in the grounds of a Norman deer park in the heart of the Gower peninsula. There are a variety of room types ranging from a suite to a self-catering chalet for two.

I specialise in photographing some of Scotland’s most remote and wild places. Spending considerable time on the Outer Hebrides and exploring other equally remote areas. I adore the beauty in remote landscapes and being based in the Highlands of Scotland, it is relatively easy for me to get wild and beautiful places.

I have been photographing landscapes for 23 years since relocating to the Highlands of Scotland. My work has been printed widely and I have exhibited at The Bosham Gallery, Talla Na Mara on the Isle of Harris and at the Taunus Gallery, Frankfurt.

I have been commissioned to travel to photograph in countries such as Italy, America, Iceland, the Azores, Swaziland and Croatia. However, my main interest always comes back to the beautiful wild landscapes of the North of Scotland and the Scottish Isles.

I run a podcast all about creatives living their best lives and have an online photography community - all coming from the desire to help, teach and support others.
