A review of Isle of Lewis luxury self-catering accommodation
I had one extra night on the Isle of Lewis recently and have wanted to go and stay with SEAcroft for a while. These Isle of Lewis self catering accommodation luxury pods are pretty incredible. The pods are built on the edge of a cliff overlooking Aird beach, with the cliffs and sea stacks. Uninterrupted views over the sea is my idea of heaven. I love privacy and feeling totally alone and having space around me. There are 2 pods but they aren't uncomfortably close in any way. The pods themselves have everything you need and are amazingly spacious.
I woke to the sound of a lot of wind - so stayed cosy in my bed for a while before thinking I had better just check there wasn't an incredible sunrise out there. And of course, the sky was lighting up all colours from second to second, and I could view it right from the comfort of my own private balcony. I was planning on going out shooting in the morning, but there didn't seem the need when I had this amazing display of colours on my doorstep. A photographer's dream to have an interrupted view like this from their accommodation.
I opted for a cooked breakfast down at the b & b just a short walk away and it was a real treat as the food is indeed very good.
If you are looking for somewhere on the Isle of Lewis for a few nights, I couldn't recommend these pods enough. So incredibly cosy and just lying listening to the waves crash was an experience to remember.
