Where to stay on the Isle of Harris – Hotel Hebrides

Recommended, Scottish accommodation

Kirklea island suites are a set of 4 two storey self catering houses and are situated in Tarbert village on the Isle of Harris. They each have small terrace areas overlooking the village with quite an impressive view of the ferry coming in and out of Harris.

The location is handy for the ferry and the village but you do have to drive to get out into the landscape and the beaches. What I really love about the suites is that you can hire them nightly as opposed to most self catering places on Harris being weekly lets only. They are also beautifully designed and they have the obligatory fabulous bathroom that I always look for. Walk in rain shower, huge roll top bath and my most favourite toiletries by Hebridean Soap Co.

The suites are still new and feel clean, contemporary yet cosy and totally individual.  I have stayed 3 times now and never been disappointed.
